WFC 2014 is the 19th edition of the World Football Championship, to be played in Qatar. Sixteen teams will participate in the finals, including the hosts and 15 nations who go through the qualifying rounds. The draw for WFC groups will be held on April 4, 2014 in Doha. Qatar were selected as hosts over Slovakia, the United Arab Emirates and Traspes.

Qualifiers[]

16 nations will qualify for WFC 2014, from a pool of 32. Qatar received automatic qualification as group hosts. Qualifying nations were divided into eight groups of four nations. Each group winner will also automatically qualify, as will the seven-best second-place finishers. Qualifying matches were held in late 2013 and early 2014, for a total of six matches. Teams qualified are Kemburg, Libertas, Paraguay, Brunant, Cyprus, Lovia, Jamiaica, Moldova, Southern Arc Islands, Inselöarna, Strasland, Cettatie, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Vanuatu and Luxembourg. After the final matchday (4 March) the second-placed side with the lowest points will be eliminated, which was Mäöres. 

Finals draw[]

On 30 March 2014 the draw for the tournment groups will be held in Doha, Qatar. The teams are split into two pots, one including the host and first placed sides, and another including second-placed teams and the last-ranked first-placed team. Two teams from each pot will then be placed into a group. Model Sara Bernès and and Qatari former footballer Mubarak Mustafa will co-host the draw.
